If you’ve been following me on Instagram recently (particularly though my Insta Stories) you’ll know that I’ve been promoting the new Results with Lucy Beach Body fitness and nutrition plan. Why? Well, because I bloody love it. Yes, if you click through my link I earn a few pennies, because I’m a Results with Lucy Ambassador, but I genuinely do love the Beach Body plan and can’t stop shouting about it from the rooftops.
A few years back, in 2016 I started the Beach Body plan to shed the last little bit of weight I was holding and tone the F. up; it was the first time I’d ever done a Results with Lucy plan and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I hadn’t paid for it as I was reviewing it for my blog and it was kindly gifted to me, but once I’d completed it, I couldn’t believe the results I’d had.
I had abs. Like, actual real abs. On show, for everyone to see. Abs.
The results were incredible and I fell in love with Results with Lucy – head over heels in love. I completed a few more plans for them on review and then started paying for the service myself because I loved the workouts and the ease of working out from home. It was everything I needed and because I lived in Manchester at the time, it was perfect for me because joining a big gym just gives me all of the anxiety and was just not an option.
I then moved home to Wiltshire and got together with an old friend and by the end of the year I was pregnant and had put on quite a bit of weight (for me). This stopped my ability to do Results with Lucy programmes because I wasn’t really able to do high intensity workouts and at the time they didn’t have anything pregnancy suitable for me to do. I cancelled my membership and started swimming every day to keep my fitness levels up as much as I could. Towards the end of my pregnancy I was contacted by Megan (an absolute babe) at RwL and was told that Results with Bump would soon be launching and would I like to give it a go and become an ambassador for them? Of course, I jumped at the opportunity and as soon as I was given the ‘all clear’ by the doctor at 4 weeks (it should have been 6 but I was eager and made an early appointment) I started and completed Results with Bump which you can read all about in my Post-Natal Fitness series.
Since then I’ve been feeling okay about my body. I finished RwB at around Christmas and since the New Year my weight has yo-yo’d up and down because I can’t seem to get out of the mindset of not eating all of the food anymore. I feel way better about my body than I did just after giving birth and I do feel better about my body since Christmas, but the results I originally wanted have not been achieved even a tiny bit and that just makes me feel a little bit shit.
(This is where Beach Body comes in).
Beach Body is such an iconic RwL plan and this year it’s re-vamp and launch has caused quite the stir! As soon as it was announced that Beach Body was making it’s come back for the year I got really excited and I knew that this would be the plan that made the difference in me. It had given me such incredible results before and this year wouldn’t be any different. The determination in me is through the roof with this one.
So what is it?
Results with Lucy Beach Body is essentially a 6 week plan with 6 levels of fitness videos for you to complete. With the only equipment needed being sliders (you can purchase them here or you can just use paper plates or tea towels) the exercises are a hardcore workout that really push you, yet are something you can complete anywhere, including from the comfort of your own home. It’s perfect for me being a new Mum and has so many other benefits for people who can’t get to or don’t like the gym or even for those of you who work late. Each level workout is to be completed as many times as it takes for you to be at the level that Lucy and Cecilia are in the videos and then you move up to the next stage / video. It’s a really fun and fab way of working out and something I can already feel is having a huge effect on my body.
The Nutrition plan for Beach Body this year is also something completely new. 30 Day Get Lean is a protein and greens plan designed to trim you down as much as possible during the first 30 days of your plan. It’s hardcore and something that I can only partially commit to due to my living situations and the way everyone else eats at home (and you know how fussy I am) but if you’re determined and like a lot of protein and green veg then you’re on to a winner.
I can’t wait to see my results from Beach Body this year and have been posting ‘before’ photos on my instagram all ready I’ll be posting progress photos on my way through my journey and really hope you’ll join me on my Beach Body plan this year.
Have you ever tried Results with Lucy before? I’d love to know about your fitness journeys in the comments.
