My top 10 must-watch tv series that you won’t regret watching! (sponsored)

As I’ve kind of changed direction a little bit with my blog recently I thought it was about time I started posting little lifestyle blog posts too, you know, the kind I’ve always wanted to post but never really thought they fit with my beauty-orientated theme. Now that I’m all about the realness of being a new mummy, my post-natal fitness journey and every now and again throwing in the beauty blog posts, I want to write posts about things I’m genuinely loving and what better post to write than a binge-worthy must-watch tv series list! Since being pregnant, quitting my job and actually having Madison, I’ve had a lot of time to sit and watch the ol’ box and I must say I’ve gotten through a hell of a lot of tv in that time. So today, kindly sponsored by smart tv Panasonic, the high-defenition tv wonders, I thought I’d give you the low-down on my top 10!

must-watch tv series

Starting at Number 10…

10.Breaking Bad

The must-watch tv series that got everyone talking way back when was Breaking Bad and although there are certain episodes you should skip all together (I’m looking at you ‘fly’) and a complete series in the middle which is all just a bit slow in my opinion, over all this is one hell of a show! If you haven’t already binged on this Walter White goodness then get to it!

9.Orange is the New Black

I haven’t watched the latest series just yet as I don’t like mixing my shows at any one time, but OITNB is such a good show! It’s all about a women’s prison in Litchfield, USA and everything that goes on in there. It’s hard one to synopsise without giving too much away but what I will say is be prepared! One of the first scenes is a lesbian sex scene so be prepared for who you’re watching it with – I was definitely not prepared when sat with Mum!

8.Once Upon A Time…

I have to admit I haven’t actually finished this one, but halfway through season 6 I got a little bored… I’ve been told as of season 7 it all takes a bit of a weird twist too so I’m not all that interested in watching it again just yet, but the first 5 seasons are 100% worth the watch. Mixed between fairytale life flashbacks and their real-world ‘cursed’ life it’s something you really have to watch from the beginning otherwise it is a little difficult to understand. As a massive Disney / fairytale fan, it was always going to be a winner for me!

7.Sons of Anarchy

This one is pretty hard hitting and not for the feint-hearted at all! But once you get into it this is one of the most incredible tv shows I’ve ever seen. It’s based on a biker gang in California and goes through a story of crime and what not and 7 series later you’ll be a massive emotional wreck! Couple of spoilers (not really spoilers): you’ll probably need a break after series 3/4 because of how emotional it is. Charlie Hunnam is GOD like and you will appreciate a million naked shots of his bum like I did.

6.Gossip Girl

I’ve probably watched Gossip Girl around 3 times through now and even though I’ve seen it and have no desire to rewatch it in the next month or two ( I wouldn’t rule it out later this year) I was slightly devastated when they removed it from Netflix (have no fear though, it’s now back!). Think Privilege, Bitchiness, Sex, Scandal and a whole heap of money. It’s one of the most gripping and swoon worthy shows (hello Ed Westwick!) and perfect if you’re wanting a bit of a guilty pleasure – although, you’ve probably seen it already!

5.Dexter

A series that I really wasn’t interested in watching at all but then absolutely fell in love with is Dexter. I never thought I’d become obsessed with a tv series about a serial killer, considering I hate all things bloody and scary, but this show is just something else. So many people have told me they’re not fussed about watching this show and I just get so crazy every time; this show is amazing and it’s one you need to put on your must-watch tv series list! The precision of it all is just incredible too, who knew a serial killer could be so anal about things?!

4.Suits

I put off watching Suits for so long (can you see a running theme with this post?) but once you get into it it’s definitely worth the watch. I’d say with Suits you definitely have to concentrate, it’s not something you can just have on in the background as all the lawyer talk can get a bit confusing, but between our new Princess Meghan Markle, Harvey Spector ( love heart eye emoji’s all around for him) and the backstabbing that goes on behind the million dollar law suits, this show is definitely a must-watch tv series for sure!

3.Pretty Little Liars

One of my OG tv series that I was sucked into was Pretty Little Liars and with this one I was there from the beginning to the bitter end! It’s a little far fetched and creepy at times (do not watch some of these episodes home alone when it’s dark out) but again this one is one that is definitely a must-watch tv series if you love a little suspense and a bit of a ‘whodunnit’. It’s all about 4 girls, a murder mystery and an Uber-stalker. Spoiler alert though: the ending is no where near as great as the you expect it to be with the seven series of suspense that you get, so don’t come yelling at me when you get there – the rest of is it amazing though, pinky promise!

2.The Vampire Diaries

I am currently re-watching this one (literally as I type). I’ve seen this one through once already and after finishing the nail biting finale last year (whilst emotional and pregnant may I add) I’ve decided to watch it all again. It’s a Vampire series with a love story twist, but throw in some warewolves, bad boy original Vamps and Witches and it’s a series full of unexpected plot twists and tragic semi-deaths. I am obsessed and am a huge Delena shipper (I totally hate that saying but, there you go!).

1.F.R.I.E.N.D.S

How could I finish off my top 10 must-watch tv series without my all time favourite? Taking it back old school with this one, Friends is by far the best tv show out there. All 10 series of it. With the 90s fashion, Chandler’s humour and the whole Ross & Rachel thing, what’s not to love? I think Rachel and Chandler are my favourite characters, how about you?

Have you got any tv show recommendations at all? I’m coming to the end of the Vampire Diaries again pretty sharpish and I’m going to need something new to watch before I start re-watching one of these again! Steven hasn’t seen a lot of these mind so I think I’m going to have to educate him too! You can find more of my lifestyle posts on my blog if that’s what you’re interested in too!
