The Everyday Mummy Makeup

Having a small baby makes getting my makeup done every morning a bit of a chore. It’s become something I’ve had to  perfect and something I’ve had to learn how to do pretty speedy when I have Madison around. The Everyday mummy makeup has taken me about 5 months to put together and finally be at a stage where I love the way I look when I’m wearing it all and so today I thought I’d let you know what those makeup staples are.

Typically, I haven’t got any makeup on in the photo above because I’m not that organised, but if you take a look at my Instagram then you can get a pretty good idea of the everyday makeup look that I’m on about. After primer (which changes daily) the first of many staples for my everyday Mummy makeup has to be my concealers. Two of my all time favourites have to be the Benefit Boi-ing Brightening Concealer and the original Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer which I use under my eyes and on any blemishes that I may have. They completely brighten my face ready for my foundation and even out my complexion; they also don’t budge which is amazing – Definitely what all new mums need first thing in the mornings! I then follow up this beautiful duo with my favourite foundation the Clarins Everlasting Plus Foundation. It’s quite a medium/thick foundation but applied with a wet Beauty Bender its the best effing foundation ever and it does not budge throughout the day at all. Go get yourself some, I honestly can’t rave about it enough.

Next up is a quick contour which consists of the Fenty Beauty MatchStix (which I’ve written a review on) in the shade Amber which is now by far my favourite contour stick. It’s the perfect shade for my skin and is actually ashy instead of orange which seems to be the problem with most other contour sticks I’ve tried in the past. I then highlight / conceal under my eyes with the infamous Collection lasting perfection concealer which is legit the ride or die product of my life. I think I genuinely have about 5/6 on the go at any one time.

Next onto the brows which has to be the Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade as it just makes my brows look absolutely incredible (or at least I think so). I use this product with a Morphe angled brush and love the look that it gives me; I then brush in some of the Benefit Gimme Brow in the shade medium to set them in place. I also use this when I don’t quite have the time to sit and use pomade on my brows because it neatens them up and gives them such a good  boost of colour!

Last but not least is the lashes and lips and recently I’ve been loving the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara as it volumes my lashes an absolute dream and is really quick and easy to just slick on when I need to. Lips of choice at the momentary always nudes which either tend to be the Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry lip Paint in Novel or my MAC Hue lipstick which is another all time favourite for me! I do tend to mostly wear liquid lips at the moment though as kissing Maddy leaves so many stains if I wear a usual lippie – and I just can’t help myself with that one!
