How to get Party Perfect Feet!

If there is one thing in the world that I hate it’s my feet. It sounds ridiculous but I have a massive fear of people touching my feet, me touching my feet and even just looking at my feet. It’s a silly thing but when you hate your feet as much as me, doing anything with them to make them look less ugly is just too much. I despise the way they look but can’t even bring myself to look after them properly and when it comes to getting party perfect feet it’s pretty much been a no-go up until now. I just don’t even bother to be honest. But as it’s now New Year’s Eve and I have a couple more parties to go to throughout Jan, I thought it was about time I made a little effort!

party feet

Embarrassingly me neglecting my feet didn’t go quite as I’d planned and whilst I was pregnant I got two (yep, not just one!) fungal toe nail infections and as much as I never thought I’d see the day I wrote about fungal nails on my blog, here I am! I have learnt the error of my ways though and I thought it was a bout time I tackled my feet and got them back in shape! Because let’s be honest, no-one wants to read about my manky toes a second time around!

For my fungal nails there was really only one option and that was to attack them properly; With Canespro Fungal Nail Treatment from Canestern it was a lot easier than I thought it would be and although admittedly I think with mine there is still a bit more work to do (as I wasn’t allowed to treat them whilst pregnant), for the majority, they’re looking a hell of a lot better. The first step in getting my feet party ready was to get rid of these gross nails and it was far less painful than I thought it would be. I had some horrible vision of my nails having to be removed but in reality all I had to do was apply the Canespro cream every night after soaking my feet and scraping the dead nail off (it physically makes me wanna vom just writing this). Just one short week into the treatment my nails were already looking sooo much better (granted there wasn’t a lot left) and after three weeks the nails were pretty much sorted. Of course, with my situation I wasn’t allowed to touch mine for 9 months, so it will take a bit longer to get them back to new, but for a nail that hasn’t been completely savaged by the fungus, this kit is perfect for sorting them out!

The next step in getting my feet party perfect was to smooth the shit out of them. Now, unlike the fungal nails I don’t actually have an issue with dry skin on my feet but there’s nothing better than having super soft tootsie’s before you kill them with a pair of killer heels! I use my Magnitone Well Heeled electric foot buffer to smooth over my feet and remove any dead skin and then go over them with some of my favourite The Body Shop Hemp foot cream (which is a bloody marvellous product) to make them extra soft!

You then of course cannot have your party perfect feet without some gorgeous nail polish to get them in the mood! My nail polish of choice for my feet is 100% the Rimmel Super Gel polish with top coat! It stays in place for a good week and doesn’t chip whilst I’m out – not to mention how shiny and gorgeous it makes my toes look! (I never thought I’d describe my toes as gorgeous!). It’s always the finishing touch to getting the party perfect feet I always lust after! And I can’t wait for Summer now that my feet are ready for flip flops and sandals too!

Have an amazing time tonight, whatever you’re doing and have a fabulous start to your new year!!

I have a fear about feet too, so I seriously neglect mine when I shouldn’t. I should maybe keep an eye out for these, they look fab! 🙂

Yes to the gel Rimmel polishes. They’re so long lasting and have the best range of shades x

I am awful at looking after my feet, I should really take some of this advice and take care of my feet a bit more. I spend my life in trainers so I should really start giving them a little TLC.

I’m so guilty of neglecting my feet. I had a pedicure recently and it was so nice. I need to take better self Care.

Great tips to take from this.
