The ‘At Home’ Brow Tint That Could Save You A Fortune

Having my eyebrows waxed and tinted has become somewhat of a ritual of mine over the last two years and since it’s something I’ve usually had to do every four-six weeks it’s become quite a costly one. With my brows being one of my main facial features, they’re something that I like to spend the money on to make sure they’re perfect and part of that cost is getting them groomed. If you’ve read my 4 life changing brow products post then you’ll know I don’t shy away from slightly pricier makeup products to help enhance them either but with a baby to pay for now and a house deposit to save for, I thought it was about time I started cutting down my beauty expenses. *cry face emoji* Yup, I’ve got myself a DIY brow tint kit and do you know what? It’s actually pretty good!

The Colorsport 30 Day Brow Tint at-home eyebrow tinting kit is one that honestly I’d heard a bit about before I was contacted to give it a go and being the snob that I am, I didn’t think much of it. Even when I accepted to receive it for a possible review I still didn’t really think it would be all that good and I’d be back with Sophie getting my brows waxed and tinted regularly again asap. Once again though I’ve been hugely proved wrong and this kit has actually been really good. With less than 10 minutes for application, development time and finishing, this at home tint is definitely worth the time and money – especially at just £8.25!

As you can see from my images above the application is pretty simple and pretty much mess-free! Once your eyebrows are perfectly shaped (I get mine waxed) and they’ve had a wipe over with a makeup wipe to ensure they’re perfectly clean, it’s time to apply the tint. The tint is comprised of two products that you mix together yourself in the tray provided and when I say you only need the tiniest amount, I really do mean it. I genuinely think this kit will last me about a year with how little product you actually need to use. Mixing the Dye Cream and Developer lotion together creates your tint and you then apply this to the hair of your eyebrows (after outlining them with some petroleum jelly) with the provided spoolie. It then only takes 2-5 minutes to develop depending on your preference of colour and a simple wipe off and you’re done! I found the whole process to be extremely simple and after leaving mine for just two minutes I was really impressed with the depth of colour I had! The photo above doesn’t quite show how dark my brows went but even from these images you can see the difference and I definitely could see it in person! The tint didn’t quite last the full 30 days at the tinted colour but did fade really gradually and it wasn’t until 3-4 weeks later that I felt the need to tint them again.

For £8.25 (and at the time of posting currently on 3 for 2 in Boots) I’d definitely use this time and time again and save myself some pennies! It really does pay (or help save in this case) to not judge a book by it’s cover! Low cost isn’t always low quality and this product has definitely proved that. You can purchase the Colorsport Brow Tint at Boots for £8.25.
